Hi Guys,

I’ve got a piece of scrap mahogany that I attempted to bend with my fox-style bender. I cracked it because I was bending too thick (.110), too fast, and too cold. Please take a look and tell me if there is any way to fix this. Can I straighten and flood with CA, or is this piece too far gone? I’m not going to use it; I just thought that the practice may help me down the road.

I would Flatten it back out and then flood with CA and clamp (just put the CA in and then put a heavey something on Top.) Then thin appropriately and bend again.

it also depends on what the other side looks like. If the cracks are very
evident from the outside I'd scrap it, as it would look funky...or flatten it
and get some practice...

Thanks, guys. I tried to straighten it, but didn't have much luck. I'll just toss it and try another piece.

I just salvaged a cracked side by adding an inlay. Not as badly cracked as what you show there but maybe...
